My issue with the whole argument is that a sport is a nebulous concept to begin with, likely created by people who weren't particularly concerned with the specific definition of what constitutes a sport. I imagine it was so many people who decided what a sport is that trying to actually define it is pointless. It's probably like porn.
I don't know how to describe it, but I know it when I see it. Professional Counter Strike players don't seem like athletes to me, but their skill level is just as high as a professional basketball player (theoretically). I really don't think it matters what constitutes a sport. It's such a bull**** term that figuring out what exaclty it means is pointless and accomplishes nothing.
