We can actually use a "Factbook" to create a national history that describes your nation's history, culture, politics, etc. It's pretty wizard. Here is my preliminary entry for my country, The Federation of The Luxurious Beard of Odin.

The Federation of The Luxurious Beard of Odin is a quasi-confederacy of previously independent tribes, now unified by our shared Germanic cultural and ethnic heritage. The decadent liberalism of the West infected our lands, threatening to erode the pride and purity of our proud peoples, but through a long and arduous struggle, we have cast aside our oppressors, both foreign and domestic.
We are unified under an overarching council of equals, drawn from each of the constituent states, but we have not abolished them. We honor our differences, as we venerate our shared heritage. Our heroes are heroes of all of The Luxurious Beard of Odin, but it would be an injustice to rob each peoples of their claim to their respective ancestors. It is through this respect that our allegiance will flourish.
The struggle is not yet complete however. The hated Christian religion -- which attempted to wipe out our cultures in order to erase our identities -- has been cast down: the churches built upon the holy sites dedicated to our "pagan" gods have been razed, and new temples have been erected in their place so that we may begin anew our worship of Odin, Thor, Freyja, etc. But the Christian religious caste still festers, and there are those of our people who still foolishly cling to their blasphemous teachings. In time, however, these poisonous elements will be purged by the righteousness of our fervor.
For the flame of the Teutonic spirit can never be truly extinguished. Our blood is aflame with the spirit of our ancestors and gods. The warriors of old possess us with their unrivaled strength, and a new era of glory is upon us through the teachings of National Socialism.
We hope to face the coming battles against the enemies of the German people with fellow nations dedicated to our cause and the spirit of true Nationalism.
