Yes I had thought of that, it would definitely stir up some controversy at the Republican National Convention, but I think that could be easily spun in the right direction considering he was an African American endorsing the first black President. Either way I don't think it will happen, nor do I think it would be a good choice.
My initial thought was that he would be a magnet for independent and swing voters, and to an extend, African Americans who will most likely be less energized to go out and vote for Hillary as they did Obama. Unfortunately I think anyone associated with the second Bush regime is too toxic for the general public, and therefore not a good choice.
I think Bush will most likely pick a respectable and successful candidate from the outside that has a good track record but not much publicity.
If it was any other country I honestly would have written the right off for about 20 years, but you guys have a very resilient Conservative base down there.
Anyways if I was American I would be voting Dem, cheers.
