Just saw Mad Max yesterday and I agree with Exo who wrote a rather good post. Go watch it!
I don't have much more to add other than I was very impressed that this movie actually got made. Most of it happens at high speed and I can only imagine how much more difficult this makes
everything. It makes it much more difficult to organize and choreograph, to shoot, the stunts get more dangerous and resetting everything takes longer. Add to that the fact that most shots only last a few seconds .. very impressive!
Other than that, Exo is spot on. Theron is really good and the movie is just pedal to the floor crazy adrenaline action bonanza. You could take out an arbitrary 10 minutes of action and it would be the climax of any other movie, but here it's almost non-stop.
Also loved the Babadook and liked The Zero Theorem
The first I would recommend to all who like creepy, psychological horror and the latter to all who like Terry Gilliam and know what they're in for.
