Probably not, as with Skyrim you could make vastly different classes and create personal goals for yourself. The Witcher series has always been about branching paths that all lead towards similar ends. The first game was pretty clunky about how it was presented, but by the second game there are a few choices that you make early on that can vastly effect how chapters 2 and 3 play out. I'm not far enough in The Witcher 3 yet to confirm if this is the case now, but I have to imagine there's quite a lot of meat on the games bones.
