My point is that you're claiming that mods will change how they moderate because
you think this is a good idea. You've already made it clear that nobody really wants to do your suggestion, so why would they take your whole ideal to heart? They're still going to give preferential treatment to longtime members and their friends and moderate only when the situation is already off the rails.
