If it's a loose ground then maybe yes, maybe no. Do you know anyone with electronics experience?

What you could try yourself is unplugging the amp, let it sit for a couple of hours (to make sure all of the capacitors have bled off) and then checking the mains ground. Right where the plug enters the chassis there should be a (normally green with a colored stripe) wire with a lug on the end that'll be screwed down to an unpainted portion of the chassis. Check to see if that's loose.



If it's not then find yourself a tech!
