Anakrid - Rapture of the Deep
Happened upon this album at a record store a few years back after reading a description that included the words "atmospheric," "power electronics," and "play this at the end of the party when you want everyone to leave." Got it for a steal as well with it only costing 4 dollars on vinyl, and the album isn't nearly as abrasive as I had expected with the description I had read, so I put it on the shelf for a while. I came back to it this week when I got my vinyl collection back from a friend I had lent it to, and this time around I think it's incredibly beautiful and haunting. Dark ambient fans should give this one a go and wank at it, especially if you like stuff like Kreng or Trouble Salad.
