He actually says (it's a long time since I saw it but I'm pretty sure he says this) "You played it for her, you can play it for me! Play it!"

I wonder what sad person did the hours of research necessary just to put that one word, "never" into their conclusion.
Research is unnecessary when you have been brought up on original ST and seen every episode at least ten times. I can confidently bet all three of my cats' lives on this never having been uttered by Captain Kirk. Usually he just said "One to beam up", "Energise" or "Beam up the landing party".

Strictly speaking this is probably true, but it's a very misleading statement. George Orwell invented the phrase "Big Brother is watching you" as a slogan for a propaganda poster, not as a line of dialogue. In my edition of the book, the slogan, "BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU" appears, in caps, on the first page of the first chapter, paragraph two and, over the page, again in paragraph four. Let's not diminish the credit that George Orwell deserves; it would be ironic if we allowed spin-off movies and reality shows to rewrite the history of the novel's creation, given that rewriting history is a key element of Orwell's inspired book.

(* Ends *)
Yeah but people think it was said in the movie. Never was.

Advancing the thread with a common misconception about the Bible: the Bible doesn't say, "Money is the root of all evil." it says, "The love of money is the root of all evil," which is subtly different and makes more sense - not that the Vatican ever paid it much attention either way.
Also, Jesus wept? Jesus was hard: he obviously just had something in his eye...
