ok so I actyally did listen to this like the day it was posted but forgot to write up on it. so I listened again and pretty much have the same thoughts:
I was quite worried off the bat since it was tagged with "indie folk" and that's usually a red flag for me to not listen to something. but this does have a pretty cool atmosphere to it. the vocals are pretty dream-poppy (tho maybe a little grating towards the end), and it kind of reminds me of The Antlers in parts, which is alright since I like them enough. but still the final product here just lacks something. the beginning few tracks were not my thing at all, these talons and fur were not bad and then a kazoo ruins an otherwise fairly brooding track. bigfoot is maybe the best track here (despite having more kazoo for some reason, tho less intrusive). then the rest is pretty forgettable. oh another thing I noticed is that the outros for songs were more interesting than the songs themselves, which was kind of weird and annoying. so ya idk its not a bad album, but not really anything id run back to either. which actually might be better than what I was anticipating.
