Hi, feed! Welcome to MB. I hope you enjoy yourself here. I’m always pleased to see someone who is interested in “world” music.

Unfortunately, the MB search function is not very effective at generating relevant threads. In fact, as you might imagine for a site like this that has been running for years, people have posted plenty of Latin Music suggestions. Here are a couple of threads that I found:-

http://www.musicbanter.com/general-m...atin-week.html
http://www.musicbanter.com/internati...ino-music.html
http://www.musicbanter.com/country-f...ic-anyone.html

^ I can’t remember if that last thread is reserved for music from Spain, (for which, by the way, there is also a specific thread.) There are threads devoted to Argentine and Brazilian music too.

As far as I know, Salsa is the only Latin Music genre that has been honoured with a thread of its own:-

Sorry if this is too much information, feed; it’s not my intention to discourage you from posting, it’s more about hoping that you might see some recommendations, and enliven some of these rather stagnant threads !

Finally, in your post, you don't mention any favourites. Any special Latin style you like?
