It probably would have been easier just to PM me to see if I knew what had happened. I wouldn't say you were in the wrong, I just think that it would have reduced the amount of drama that came of it, which I hoped wouldn't have happened as a result of me locking my original thread.

I kind of assumed a mod had closed it independently of you, possibly due ot the off-topic drama, and the old thread "why was thread X closed?" has been, you know, closed. I guess in hindsight I should have PM-ed you, but to be honest I never even thought about it, and at the moment my PM is almost permanently full with all the messages flying back and forth between Batty and I on our new journal.
Sorry if I got under your skin; didn't mean to. I genuinely thought that was a really great thread and had some more replies ready, so I was crushed when I saw it was closed. That's all really. It's a pity it had to die.
