My favorite two guitars that I own at the moment are my Godins. I got me a Godin Acoustcaster from 1993 that I got cheap as the jack needed replacement (really cheap fix) and it sounds awesome. Even though it has a body like a telecaster, it sounds as roomy as a big acoustic steel string guitar and with the on-board EQ, you can get both twangy to meaty and everything in between. Awesome LR Baggs pickup in it.
This is not my guitar, but it looks like this :
Possibly, I already posted about this one, but either way it's worth mentioning because I now also have a 2014 Godin Multiac SA which is in a similar vein, but with nylon strings and you can hook it up to a Roland guitar synth (got a GR-55). For me, it is a wet guitar dream come true.
To finance this, I sold my vintage fender strat, which is a sore loss .. but still worth it. In the end, I actually preferred to play on my heavily upgraded Epiphone Les Paul, even if it was in a different price class from the strat.
