I never got into Tom Waits til recently but he's incredible. He's got six albums I think are true classics.

1. "Bone Machine" - Tom Waits tough as nails style was never as badass on anything as it is on this album. Goin' out West is arguably his best song, so if you want to start getting into Tom Waits listening to Goin' out West is the best introduction you can get. I first heard it in the movie Fight Club and the marriage between Tom Waits and David Fincher was so amazing I'm sad they never collaborated on anything.

2. "The Black Rider" - Probably his weirdest album. Amazing sound though, wild, dark, and dreamy and his lyrics are pure poetry. My favorite song is the title track, The Black Rider.

3. "Big Time" - Powerful live album. But the best track is actually his studio recording Falling Down, deeply moving song.

4. "Frank's Wild Years" - This album has lots of really good songs and a few really great songs, Cold Cold Ground being my personal favorite cut off the album.

5. "Mule Variations" - Very emotional album. The grammy nominated song Hold On is incredible.

6. "Rain Dogs" - Beautiful album. Kind of has a Bruce Springsteen vibe going on. The song Downtown Train is a masterpiece by every definition of the word.
