Im glad you've taken a liking to fallout3. Hearing how much you're liking it reminds me of when i first played it.
2 things i want to mention to you.
1. If you can get the operation anchorage dlc i suggest you do, that dlc gives you the best armor in the game.
2. Don't let the ghouls in Tenpenny tower.. they ruin everything.
