When it comes to psychological and neurological illnesses, I fear schizophrenia, dementia, and Parkinson's disease more than anything.
While all of those things are treatable with the right medication and medical intervention, they take away your ability to function on several different platforms and essentially devour your brain.
Schizophrenia is manageable, but it's so terrifying that I wouldn't even wish it on someone I completely hate. One of the scariest parts is that the illness can develop at practically any age, and the onset is sometimes so gradual that you might not even notice anything's wrong at all.
