If you want to check him out further, I'd also look into his album
Live in Alabama. It's got some of his Drive-By Truckers stuff (including a great version of "Danko/Manuel", still probably the best song he's written) and most of his best solo material. He's released a bunch of albums but they're all pretty inconsistent other than the latest two.
