I especially love Muddy Water's tone on After the Rain. It's a pretty obvious influence on the fuzz-rock bands of the 60's (Blue Cheer, etc.) a well as the 90's Stoner Metal movement. I always knew they had a bluesy sound and a big influence from it, but wasn't sure exactly where the particular sound originated, because it doesn't the riffs don't sound particularly early Delta or Texas. This album solved the puzzle though.
