When i was young the rules of being a man were layed out to me..

You have to be tough and fight to earn respect
You have to score with as many girls as you can and brag about it.
You can't be a sensitive over emotional wuss cause you'll get picked on.
you HAVE to play at least 1 sport and be the man at it.

Keep in mind, my father wasn't around while i was growing up these were the unspoken guide lines set in the playground by the boys.

Though i wasn't a fighter and was more sensitive than your average guy i did play basketball and was pretty good at it and i also had luck with the ladies so other guys respected me for that.

I didn't want to follow all the rules they set for being a man cause i thought they were a bit narrow minded so i started to have a 'Brains over brawn' approach to the whole thing. I won my friends through humor and learned how to defend myself with words rather than violence.

Thanks to that, i was never the alpha male but i was man enough for them to respect me and leave me be.
