After the Rain was influenced
by fuzz rockers, more than the other way around. Muddy was being pressured by Chess to obtain a more modern sound, so he turned to a Psychedelic tone for
Electric Mud, and
After the Rain. Don't forget,
After the Rain came out in 1969, years after the Garage Rock boom of 1965-66.
