In Massachusetts you can't buy booze on Sundays. (At least that's how it was 20 years ago.) New Hampshire had this weird law where retail stores could only sell beer and wine. Only approved "Liquor Stores" could sell the hard stuff. And that's all they sold.
There was a NH liquor store about a quarter mile from the Mass border. They did bang up business on Sundays for sure! I knew the staff by name.
