Yes, I have French relatives. But I don't think I would be any less concerned for those victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris if I didn't have any French relatives.
People died and were seriously wounded in the attacks, that what bothers me.
Besides it's broader than just affecting the French. Paris is a tourist town. Where anyone from any country could had been a victim. And tn this instance there were twenty-five people from other countries who died in the attack.
