Title: Art Angels
Artiste: Grimes
Genre: Synthpop/ Art pop
Familiarity: Zero

1. Laughing and not being normal: Interesting, almost orchestral; guess this is the introduction as such. Hmm. Soprano voice. Did not expect that; thought this would be all instrumental.
2. California: Nice, uptempo, bouncy. Sort of sounds a little J-pop at times.
3. SCREAM: Like the guitar, though the vocal is more a rap really. Not mad about that. The scream gives it almost a metal quality.
4. Flesh without blood: Upbeat, catchy. Got a good beat.
5. Belly of the beat: Another good pop song.
6. Kill v Maim: Eighties new wave synth on this. Pretty powerful song.
7. Artangels: Nice upfront guitar for once. Great hook in the song.
8. Easily: Sounds like acoustic guitar now. Or banjo. With piano. Ballad? I kind of feel it may pick up. Yeah there it goes, though it's sort of still in a more slow vein than the previous tracks. Don't think I'd call it a ballad though.
9. Pin: Another upbeat pop song, with a kind of distorted vocal initially.
10. Realti: Sort of techno-ish. Maybe.
11. World princess, part II: Not feeling it on this one somehow.
12. Venus fly:Another sort of rap. Meh.
13. Life in the vivid dream: Nice guitar here. Soft little ballad, quite short.
14. Butterfly: Decent closer. Sort of mid-paced. Nice.

End result: I'm not a big fan of pop, as you all know, and while there are some nice tracks on this a lot of it sounds quite generic to me. I'd call it a good pop album, but nothing great or nothing I would be returning to or exploring in any depth.

So, Love or Hate? Still, for what it is I think it deserves a Love.
