I still think Nirvana would have gone down as greats but only remembered for their songs. Not the individuality credit that Kurt receives while he's 6 ft under. I think if Kurt had seen Nirvana through (i.e Alive) he would have come out popular but not remembered as a great.
If Cornell had popped it before he had started Audioslave, I reckon Soundgarden would be held alongside Nirvana.

...It's not like the band went on after Kurt died!!!At the same time, when someone dies it doesn't make them a more well known musician, as far as greatness is concerned!!!The music they performed is what makes them a great musician that wrote great songs.I still believe that SoundGarden not only did, but still gets as much credit as Nirvana did for being a band on the scene...
...SoundGarden was a popular, well known hitband around 1994, just like Nirvana was!!!That's all there is to it!!!
