Really beer acts as a depressant, and makes you tired. Where do you have the beer? If it is at a bar, maybe your anxious being there or around strangers?
Are you drinking other things during the day like caffeine that might make you feel that way? Or it could be you're crashing - energywise.

I'm generally anxious person my entire life hence the attraction to alcohol. I am far livelier off hard liquor absolutely. My drinking habits are just so absolutely retarded. I drink, don't eat anything, bump my dark hip hop music until I black out, wake up and repeat the cycle. I can do this for days in a row until I'm so physically weak that all I can muster to eat is to drive to mcdonalds or get a pizza. And yet I think I'm going to pass all my courses(fingers crossed) this semester!
I drink to literally mentally escape existence not to increase enjoyment of anything besides music
