Name: Mondo Bungle
Position: Wandering Wizard and creator of Shine
Age: Unknown
Status: Alive but retired
First Appearance: Don't TOUCH that!
Last Appearance: (so far) NOW look what you've done! Part III

An itinerant, wandering magician of unconfirmed level, Mondo realised pretty quickly that the life of a wandering wizard may be high on respect but is low on cash, so he decided to supplement his income in season three by peddling some harmless drugs to the natives of whichever village or town he was passing through. This, you would think, would have made him unpopular with the local law enforcement, but Mondo was of course a wizard and could make them think what he had was harmless candy. He overreached himself though when he decided to cut out the middleman (literally: he met with his supplier and worked a spell on him that left him nothing but a walking cutout shadow: when asked why, he was reported to have said “****er shouldn't have tried to rip me off! I mean, what kind of a retard tries to stiff a ****ing wizard??”) and began creating his own special drug. He hit gold, or paydirt, when he came up with the formula for what was to become the designer drug of the day, Shine.

Shine, as we learned in the episode, is totally harmless initially, but is hyper addictive. On the third dose, the person becomes hopelessly and irrevocably dependent on the drug, which has no side effects apart from engendering in the user a sudden, irresistible and urgent need to listen to Nickelback, and to force others to do likewise. This effect in itself was used by the advocacy group UNSHINE, which warned young kids “Do YOU want to grow up thinking Chad can sing? Do YOU want to be the laughing stock of your friends? Do YOU want to have your computer filled with odious Nickelback songs? DON'T DO SHINE!” And it worked quite well. But the problem with Shine is that once on it, it is medically impossible to give it up, and, well, you know, kids will be kids. There even grew out of the usage of Shine a TV program called Bet Your Sanity, in which contestants were urged to try Shine for a cash prize, knowing how they would end up. After it was outlawed the program went underground, and is still transmitted through secret relays and channels, as we saw in season seven's Live! From an Unknown Location! and is still popular on the BlackNet.

Realising the horrible plague he had unleashed on the world, Mondo despondently retired to the Mistyish Mountains at the end of season four's NOW Look What You've Done! Part III and has not been seen since.
