Well, it sounds like there might be a halfway decent chance that I could turn that failed class into an incomplete so that I could finish that last assignment or something and not have it affect my GPA. A bit of professionally-written whining about my work schedule throwing me out of whack, causing me to legitimately forget to take my meds -- which keep me reasonably functional -- on a semi-regular basis might just work to get the dean to intervene (several emails to my professor have gone completely ignored). Using the word "disability" will hopefully tip the balance for a grade appeal.

Quasi-bull****, but I've been barely able to keep myself together the past few months, between school and work, so it's still pretty true. When my GPA is at stake I really don't give a **** about trying to weasel out of a bad grade. Gotta do what I gotta do. Fingers crossed.
