Woman, what on God's green earth are you talking about? Both the Challenger launch and the Columbia breakup were broadcast live. The Challenger cabin did survive the initial explosion and at least some of the astronauts were conscious for a bit but they're not certain if the cabin held pressure during the entire fall. Either way they hit the ocean at over 200 MPH which was the official cause of death.

The entire Columbia crew died almost immediately after the main cabin broke apart.
