Because being hot and sweaty all the time makes me miserable. It also makes it hard to get a good night's sleep, which also makes me miserable. And of course it's the time of year all the bugs show up, which is unpleasant. And all the smells of garbage and cat piss and dog
shit in my back alley become much more pungent in the hot weather.
