The title explains it. In my recent review of
Avenged Sevenfold's Hail to the King album, I have a turn around of perspective on Modern Metal. I had a prejudice before, that made me very skeptical of the modern day of metal, often keeping to the boundaries of
1970s to the early
1990s only rarely creeping out to enjoy metals more modern offerings. I will be putting into this thread my own reviews of albums I find, but will much appreciate recommendations of modern metal albums. All will be reviewed at some point.

I will normally then proceed to pick out favored tracks, honorable mentions and tracks disliked. Followed once more with an overall rating and possible conclusion.
