The 1956 sci-fi Forbidden Planet movie has a pretty interesting film score. It was create by Bebe and Louis Barron, true pioneers in "Space-y Electronic" music. Usually a film score contains music usually from an orchestra, and sound effects from a Foley operator/artist usually in post-production. This was one of the first (if not first) movie soundtrack that was made using electronic instruments.
