I suppose opinion was the wrong word. By claiming the media called them grunge, you implied that grunge fans such as myself only call it grunge because the media said so. As if we were sheep. I don't bang my head on rocks to get flies out like a sheep, I bang my head to rock music from Seattle, and I can easily determine the grunge sound. I never said I disapprove of disagreeing. Debating is educational yo me. But don't assume I'm calling it grunge based on the media. There are plenty of "grunge" albums I don't consider grunge, and non-grunge albums that I do. Am I wrong? Maybe. But I have a very good idea of what to look for based on the 170 albums I've heard.

You have heard more metal than I've heard grunge, so you'd logically be more educated in metal. But since I rarely hear you talk about grunge, I assu e you might have 't heard around 100. heard around 30-50 albums
