I did not know this - cos you don't see it in his lyrics - but Bowie was really into this sham.
He bought stripper, Gypsy Rose Lee's reputedly haunted mansion. (Haunted cos maybe she led a profligate lifestyle???).
He felt Evil concentrated about the swimming pool.
Bowie and wife then performed their own private exorcism.
Even though the wifeypoos did not believe in it, she swears the water bubbled and a dark mass was seen to move over the bottom.
