A regular delegate is earned based on how the people of each state vote. A super-delegate is free to vote for any candidate at the Democratic national convention. A pledged super-delegate is someone who has basically aligned with a candidate and it's almost unheard of for them to change their mind after the presidential candidate is selected since they want their party to win the presidency.
The reason why Hillary is trouncing Bernie with the super-delegate vote is that although Bernie has some great and radical ideas, the super-delegates - who have experience with how Washington works - know that he'd have an extremely hard time getting anything through congress. If you think congress was hard on Obama, they'd stonewall Bernie much much worse.
Clinton on the other hand knows how to work both sides of the aisle and stands a much better chance of furthering a more traditional Democratic platform while in office.
