The Catholic Church is against child rape. I am certain the Catholic Church wants absolutely no pedophile priests within the Church. They are fighting the bill because it would extend to cases where they feel they can not defend themselves where the allegations are false, and while on the other hand public institutions do not have the same accountability because of SoL. The Catholic Church has worked in the pass with authorities on the matter, and still works with authorities now.

That's a whole lotta bull**** to get around the Catholic Church's complicity in covering up their pedophile priests over the years, and here again they are acting in the interest of the Church and its priests. Not children.
