I saw The Remains a few weeks ago. I'd never seen them before and they rarely play shows so I decided to check them out. Great set of 60's era covers and originals from their brief time together in the mid 60's as well as one song from an album they made in the mid 90's.

Muck and the Mires opened the show. I saw them open for The Sonics last year and thought they were a fairly mediocre garage rock band with a 60's era vibe. This time they played more power pop type rock and were enjoyable enough that I'd be willing to see them again as a headlining act. The Cal Cali Band followed them with a set of popular 60's era covers, The Remains were next and The Lyres closed out the show.

I didn't take any photos or video of the performance but I did make an audio recording of The Remains entire set. Here are 3 original songs of theirs from the show...

Spoiler for Audio via YouTube:

The Remains - Say You're Sorry

The Remains - Ain't That Her

And the song of theirs that's probably got the most radio airplay...

The Remains - Don't Look Back
