Instead of one favourite group I post you some songs I like, it is more relevant (sorry, it isn't allowed yet for a newbie to put links).
Mad Season : Wake Up

Chassol : Odissi
Filastine : Requiem 432
Ibrahim Maalouf : True Sorry

Ok so now my whole identity is revealed, I would be a pretty bad spy.

Waiting to talk to you very soon

(and sorry SORRY for my errors in english... Hoping that we will understand eachother, it isn't a certainty)
pffft I make errors all the time, and I speak English ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Welcome to Music Banter, hope you stay a while. I did give Mad Season a listen. When I get a chance I'll listen to the other bands you posted.

I occasionally listen to French music, both old and new. I only know a little bit about it however. Some French bands (& singers) I like are: Elli & Janco, Françoise Hardy, Les Sirènes Débrouillardes (Lower Synth Department), Melody's Echo Chamber (Melody Prochet), Nouvelle Vague, Plasticines, Xeno and Oaklander (the singer Liz Wendelbo is French/Norwegian), Stereo Lab (Lætitia Sadier). These are some of my all time favorites:

Asylum Party - Julia

Elli et Jacno - Anne Cherchait L'Amour

OPERA MULTI STEEL: Jardin Botanique

Xeno and Oaklander - sentinelle
