BS. The Dead wouldn't have known progressive if it bit them in their ass. They were a boiling pot of Americana music. Pop, folk, country, white blues, Jerry's leads hinted at Jazz, Gospel, and Bluegrass all mixed up with a ton of drugs which made them sound cool to lots of folks.
