That's suicide not murder.
Go ahead and tell the judge that argument while you are facing 25 to life for vehicular manslaughter.

I honestly would have thought the London BLM protest was satire if I wasn't aware.

And what atrocity?
What atrocity? It's as if you didn't read the article you posted. That's the point. Disrupt the status quo and bring awareness to something wrong that happened. It isn't even about getting people on their side because they know that they will upset people over it. It's good to agitate people. They should be pissed off. This was the perfect timing to shut shit down!

Campaigners called for a '#Shutdown' after the fifth anniversary of the death of Mark Duggan, who was shot by police in 2011.

They claim they shut down roads to "mourn those who have died in custody and to protest the ongoing racist violence of the police, border enforcement, structural inequalities and the everyday indignity of street racism."

The protests resulted in a number of arrests across the country after the group said it wanted to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the death of Mark Duggan, who was shot by police attempting to arrest him in Tottenham, North London, in August 2011, sparking nationwide riots.

Edit: Didn't mean to ignore you Bats.

BLM recently released a statement saying:
Quote:
The Platform explains that racism and exploitation don’t stop at U.S. borders, and notes that funding that could be used for domestic social services is instead being used to kill Palestinians abroad. It specifically calls for an end to U.S. military and financial aid to Israel, outlines American citizens’ complicity in the state-sanctioned violence and discrimination against Palestinian people, and calls to fight the increasing amount of anti-BDS legislation that restricts Americans’ right to free speech and protest.
They are taking the fight internationally, it isn't just about police brutality in the US anymore.
