Just received our first settlement offer from the Chinese company and the US megacorp. We expected it to be low ball but didn't expect it to be down right insulting.

We'd settle at this point for $16 million. We're asking for $25 million based on the advice of 3 independent specialists who have analyzed the case and all 3 came up with about that same number.

What was proposed works out to be a payout to us of approx. $50K a year for the next 7 years. And we'd have to turn over all of our intellectual property to them.

Have a conference call with our lawyers tomorrow morning. Our response is basically going to be stop wasting our time and let's move on to trial.

These ****ers destroyed a 40 year old, family owned San Diego business out of pure greed. They broke numerous California laws in the process and disrupted the livelihood of over 30 San Diego families.

The trial will be here in San Diego with a local jury. Megacorp has been destroying US jobs for years and shipping them overseas to countries like Vietnam and India in order to increase profits for their shareholders.

The Chinese company and them colluded together for almost 6 months before stabbing us in the back - all of the details are on official record based on depositions.

We will destroy them in a courtroom and a jury could decide to make an example of them and award us a huge settlement. Even the mediation judge told them they don't want this to go in front of a local jury.

Something tells me the next settlement offer will be a bit more generous.

****ers!
