Maybe I read it wrong, but at the end there is a moment when, just for a moment, Joker realizes he might not be right here. That this whole insanity is just an excuse. Only for a moment.
Also I have to appreciate how mature the story is, as in pg18 mature. It's not surprising as it's Alan Moore we're talking about here, but still it's refreshing.
