Well look at it like this , I also post in the Doctor Who forums at Outpost Gallifrey , they have something like 16 off topic forums , yet at that forum there`s hardly any off topic posting , hardly any flaming , and the threads that are on the main forums are always full of good debated threads and posted in on a regular basis .The off topic forums do nothing to hurt that ,they just add to a sense of community and make people want to post there. it`s also the same in other forums i`ve been to on football , F1 & other interests i`ve had.
I think the lounge cheapens this place , I don`t see how having properly modded sub forums on other things would do anything to hurt it.

well, seeing as how you've seen it work in other forums i'll have to take your word for it. Alright, I'm all for that idea, because the more I think about it, it can't really get any worse can it?
