They're legally responsible--obviously, as that was the reason that Trump and his father wound up being sued, but that doesn't make it the case that Trump issued a policy not to rent to blacks merely because they have negative traits in his view due to being black, which is what's required for him to be racist, rather than people working for his company,
assuming in the first place that the allegation was even true.
