Before you get flippy, Zippy. Recycling is about your municipality turning trash into cash. Your empty beer cans are on a slow boat to China, where they pay for trash aka recyclables. It's cheaper for them to recycle aluminum than to extract it from bauxite. Whenever you chuck your beer can in the recycle bin, you're actually putting money into someone's pocket.
