Here's the reality about kids... They're all different. All parents are different. And to say it will help cause anxiety disorders is just plain dumb because not all kids will respond to it the same way mentally.
Here's a harsh reality... we have a single father with two kids who is an alcoholic. He comes home everyday drunk and tells his kids they are worthless. And he tells this to them incessantly while yelling.
His first kid grows up and becomes a homeless man who has Nightmares about this every night and is constantly telling himself that his father was right.
His second kid becomes a fairly successful businessman. His second kid is motivated by proving his father wrong.
Why would this happen? Well both kids aren't the same. They won't respond to it the same.
