Absolutely hysterical and thought provoking. The first half of the film was much more developed than the back half, but I loved the whole ride. Yorgos Lanthimos delivers by making the viewer want to have several viewings without requiring them to because his films hit so hard on the first punch. Dogtooth was much better, but Dogtooth is also something that they should teach in film schools as a "perfect film." That's a high bar to set. I think The Lobster gets a 4.5/5

Just seen it today. Weird but I didn't find it funny at all. Funny how it had the classical guitar scene just like Dogtooth did. Use to be able to play that tune (recuerdos de la alhambra). Major props to Colin and Rachel for putting it all out there in roles that were far from flattering.
