The album is basically immediately not what I had expected, but instant some darkish and very well put together, captivating industrial. It has what I like in that kind of music, a constant rhythm (for lack of a better term), and the miscellaneous rigamarole of underlying smashing. If that's anything to go off then it should be great.
And it does seem to carry over. The rhythm, the drilling repetition (that's a good thing, makes for hypnotic sounds), and general noise. But it sounds different from the opener, also great, variety is the most important aspect of this music. So two tracks in and both are distinct in sound but provide the same satisfaction that they should. I really enjoy the high register little spangle that shows up often beneath the bulk of the music. The next song gets softer and warmer and I'd superb all the way through. The aforementioned spangle returns early on, and whether or not was intentional I love it, because I'm a sucker for recurring themes. It continues on with a slow electro-beat and combined with all the pleasant sounding drones that surround it, it's all pretty wonderful. Once again this a totally unique track but still doing what the others have.
Undeniably ****ed Up sounds cheesy at first but gets overtaken by deep noise, which is way too loud in my opinion. If that beat is still going underneath it it stopped, I wouldn't know. The noise here is kinda back to some of the stuff I didn't enjoy from these projects, and its volume ruins any kind of synergy to be made. Weak track, truthfully.... Sorry my man
The noise utilized in Drafted is pretty loud too but more varied than the track before, and is draped over some political (I'm assuming) samples, as well as cheesy electronica vocals. It's kind of another weak-ish one to be honest. Didn't have much to hold onto for me and seemed pretty filler-y
The last track is some heavy ass downright doom metal with heavy ass downright doom metal riff action. High register twinkling creates a cool dynamic. The riff deconstructs into a mish mash of psychedelic madness to drive it all home.
So the good stuff was super good but I hate to say I'm personally not gonna be an advocate for tracks 4 and 5. Track 3 is the best and should have been explored me, it was a great hybrid of drone and electronica. The first two were super awesome little things that could function as badass interlude tracks in between longer beasts, and I also think something like that should have closed the album, not that I don't like the last one here already, but it seems like if this were a tv show, it would have been 7:28 during the last track and I have no idea how this episode could conclude in that sort time, so I start going into a state of cardiac arrest and the credits start to roll after saying "to be continued next week".
The industrial of the opener was some of the most interesting music you've made that I know and should also be expanded upon.
