I feel like it has something to do with a slippery slope belief. The video I saw on FB was titled "Apparently Tran species is a thing nowadays" The comment section was flooding with ignorant comments towards transgenders and saying that "oh is she going to want her own bathroom that includes a litter box?" I regretted reading that comment section because it was even worse than that.
As I watched the video, I just kept thinking has she seen a psychiatrist yet. Also when she finally confirmed at the end that she does see one regularly. The shrink she uses says it's something she will get over. I'm not sure if she will ever get over it but I can definitely tell there is a disconnect and she should be treated but I guess it's her choice if she wants to take medication or not. I walked away from that video feeling generally sorry for her.
