Wanda Jackson, Brenda Lee, and Conway Twitty are my big three in Rockabilly right now.
Brenda Lee's version of What'd I Say (originally Ray Charles) is very quickly becoming one of my favorite songs of all time. It's absolute fire, Brenda's energy on it is smokin', the production is mondo heavy, whoever is on the kit is a ****ing animal, and I've read multiple times online that Jimmy Page is the session guitarist for this track, and it feels true to my ears, especially towards the end. If it is true it only makes it even more magical knowing where this kind of energy would take him only a few years later.
