Obama was well educated on Islam, as well as a lot of other things related to world affairs, before campaigning for office. Too bad Trump didn't take the same route and instead just used negative stereotypes to fuel the fear of his supporters.
Just knowing a lot about a culture doesn't make you a member or follower of it. Don't be so dense.
